New layout!

I was frankly not very happy with the previous layout already, so I’ve been using these past slow news days to make a new one. It should be cleaner, tidier and hopefully pleasant to the eye. Thanks so much to L for the photos used!
The site has been completely converted to PHP, the image viewer script updated and a handful of things revamped. Everything should work just fine (except the links in the updates, I’ll work on that soon), but please do tell me if you encounter any dead link or you have any other trouble with the site. Any feedback you could provide is also welcome!
Thanks very much to everyone who keeps visiting and supporting the site! Hopefully, Mr Simm will have something brilliant in store for us this year too…

You can now see the art cover for The Devil’s Whore DVD at amazon.co.uk and play.com. Quite gorgeous, isn’t it? The DVD is still not available for pre-order at Amazon, but it is via Play. Still no further information about any extra.

2008 Royal Variety Performance

On Thursday 11th December John Simm attended the 80th Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium. The programme was broadcast yesterday, Wednesday 17th December on BBC1. Mr Simm took part in a sketch with comedy duo Ben Miller and Alexander Armstrong, from The Armstrong & Miller Show.

I must say I thought it was an absolutely amazing ride and I can’t wait to rewatch it in DVD quality. Hopefully, it will be with us in a bit less than two months, so don’t despair too much! I’ll be passing on new information as I find it.

Tonight don’t forget to tune in Channel 4 at 9.00 pm for the final episode of The Devil’s Whore! Frankly, I couldn’t be more excited about it even if I tried (and at the same time terribly sad that it’s ending). As always, it gets repeated this Saturday at the same hour.

‘Tu£sday’ DVD pre-order

The region 2 DVD for the British heist film Tu£sday starring Kevin R. McNally, Ashley Walters, Philip Glenister and John Simm is now available for pre-order! You can do so via amazon.co.uk and play.com at the moment.
The DVD will be released in the UK next year on February 23rd, as previously reported. Extras confirmed to be included are audio commentaries (by director Sacha Bennett and actor Cristian Solimeno), theatrical trailer, vignettes, making of featurette and gag reel. Look forward to it!

2009 South Bank Show Awards

More good news! The Devil’s Whore has been nominated for a 2009 South Bank Show Award for Best TV Drama. The awards will be given out during a ceremony in London next year, on January 20th. It will be broadcast on ITV1 Wednesday 28th January at 10:35 pm.
Congratulations and good luck to the cast and crew of The Devil’s Whore on their first well-deserved nomination! Let’s hope there’ll be many to follow.
